It's so hard to save money when it could be spent on clothing! ; ) One lucky side effect of my surgery/recovery, is that I haven't been to the mall. It's helping me save up for the big medical bill I'll be sure to have!

I know... when you see all those pretty skirts and tops you just want to buy it all... not to mention bags and pretty ballerina shoes :)

Oh, what a stressful thing to have to pay big medical bills! In Sweden we don't have to pay for health care ourselves (it's financed through our taxes which are higher than in the US), which is good when you have to do an expensive operation. I think there is a fee for laying in the hospital though, but it's not so big. I'm hoping you'll get rid of that nasty bill quickly and can buy some cute new clothes - that's a great pick me up after having been sick. You really deserve something new and pretty :)

People say that they want to change our health care system over here, and that was one of the big things that Pres. Obama ran on, but then when it comes down to it, people are scared of change. And every horror story from other countries gets played in commercials and written in editorials to scare people. I don't know what the right answer is, but I don't believe that companies should be getting rich off the pain of the sick. And I don't think it's fair to pay your insurance premiums every month only to lose your insurance when you actually do get sick and need it. (If it is through your employer and you lose your job because you can no longer work, etc.) But we should be okay, I think. And a pretty outfit might make things better. =)

Yes, I can imagine that it's difficult to make such a big change. I guess both systems have their pros and cons... I'm glad to hear that you'll be ok though :)
